Curtis Ohlde
Fitter Talk Host Curtis Ohlde is a member of Pipefitters Local 533 in Kansas City. Curtis grew up on a Farm in Kansas where he learned early through HS Vo-tech various welding process. After HS he received his bachelors degree in Animal Science before returning to the farm where he worked various jobs including being a substitute teacher for Ag Mechanics and Industrial Arts. In 1996 Curtis and his family moved to the Kansas City metro area to start a career with Pipefitters Local 533. Throughout his career he has had the opportunity to work on both the service and construction sides as well as doing start-up work from El Paso to Aberdeen SD. In addition Curtis has been a Training instructor with PFTC 533 since 2002 teaching various classes from then to present. Currently he is a OSHA, Arc Flash, Mag Lev and other specialty classes as needed. Curtis is also a current instructor for the 6015 MagLev class during ITP.
